Nowadays, it’s fairly difficult for Kiku to accept someone as a friend. For more than half his life, he’s been without one so he’s talked himself into believing he doesn’t need friends. He can deal with life with just his pets and that’s fine. However, if you’re an acquaintance and persistent enough, he may eventually see the good in growing closer to you. His only wish is not to be used. He will be an extremely loyal friend and he will expect the same.

Hate is such a strong word for Kiku. Of all the people he has met, there has never been an individual he has hated or disliked. Annoyance? Sure, but it takes quite a bit of effort for his annoyance to break into anger, and even more still for it to lead to dislike and hatred. So lucky you! Don’t do anything horrendous in front of him and you won’t get on his bad side.

● RELATIONSHIPS ●

Kiku is very closed off, even to friends, so pushing past friendship status to relationship status would be difficult. Not impossible by any means, however, Kiku is not immune to bypassing crushes. He is very unlikely to pursue said crushes however as taking that step frightens him. He doesn’t want to fall into another cycle of constantly being hurt. Mental pain affects him more than physical pain after all. Persistence is the key with Kiku. Shower him with small gestures and simply spend plenty of quality time with him and a relationship is very possible.

Oooh, yes, that'd be fun. How well do you think they'd know each other beforehand? I'm assuming they'd have met from the FF and are probably decent friends, though to what extent is up to you. Also don't know how involved Kiku is in the FF.

Hmm...I feel like because Kiku is acting more neutral or anti-mutant, he'd prolly check in with the FF here and there to see what's new but for the most part would keep to himself. So maybe they either know the very basics about each other like names, occupation, etc or they just recognize the other's face?

Sounds good to me! Al would probably know the basics since he makes an effort to know each person who shows up to the FF personally. He probably wants to connect with Kiku as well, so that might be why he chooses Kiku's dojo.
