Come little children, I'll take thee away,Into a land of enchantment...

This was far from what he was expecting.
Gilbert had to do this to him, didn’t he? Was it some sort of punishment? Nickolaus quickly tried to think of reasons his brother would have to torture him as so, by leaving him alone with… This monster.
It all started simply when Nickolaus woke up from his nap, somewhat earlier than what he usually did. He was rolling around in bed bored, unable to think of reasons to take away his own ‘quiet time’ from the schedule, determined to follow it to the time accordingly as written on the hand-made poster. So as soon as the clock showed it was time the quiet time could end, according to his colorful chart, Nickolaus slid out of bed with a small hum. Next on the chart was outdoor activity, but… Giving one look out to the window, Nickolaus was able to see that would have to be switched to indoor activity instead. With a disappointed sigh the four-year-old walked out of his room, struggling to open the door at first but managing it after a few given tries. As soon as the door was open and he stepped out of the caverns of his own room however, he blinked, noticing it being much quieter than he expected. Gilbert seemed to usually like to have some sort of noise in the background, whether he be cooking, cleaning, or just reading a book.
So that at first made the child look around in question, and close the door behind him just as quietly, as if to not disturb the silence. “Bwuder…?” He called out, giving out a small gasp when instead Blackie showed up, the tail wagging wildly. Nickolaus sighed and patted the shepherd’s head before he returned to his search, the dog following after him, the two finally reaching the living room where they would usually find Gilbert doing… Whatever Gilbert did during Nickolaus’ naps. The boy never quite knew what he did staring at the strange screen on the computer or laptop.
“Bwuder, I…” Nickolaus stopped himself when he realized he still couldn’t find Gilbert in sight, but instead the mutant his brother had rented out from the underground. It had been a few weeks since the arrival of this blond mutant, and quite honestly, Nickolaus still couldn’t feel comfortable around him yet. He gathered that it was an old friend of Gilbert’s, but that didn’t make much difference. If anything it made him even more distant from this man, seeing he felt he stole Gilbert from him all the time. “…Where’s Bwuder…?” He asked, his voice dropping from the questioning tone to immediate fear. D-…Did this monster, really hurt… Or get rid of his Gilbert…?
