Truly, Roderich loves having and has always wanted scores of friends. From his anxiety about separation that has always been a road bump for him. When he met Vash though, that anxiety seemed to melt away. Yet, it appeared stronger than ever when he was left alone yet again. Roderich often spoils his friends and normally will just enjoy being in the presence of his friends. Roderich is a man that would find comfort in just sitting in his apartment den and simply watching a movie or sharing a couple beverages while reading books. Subtly Roderich makes friends that he normally doesn't identify to care about him.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. The enemy of my friend is my enemy. Roderich doesn't have many enemies but, he lives by those phrases. Normally, the people that his friends deem enemies are no friend of Roderich's. Yet, there are some cases where Roderich sees fit to be friends to the pair of enemies. One of the enemies that is not known by most people is the government. When Roderich joined the government as an intern, he truly had no idea what he was getting himself into. He was walking into a wolf den covered in raw meat. Having to do sadistic tests sets a toll on someone's mental standing of themselves.

Now love is a foreign thing to Roderich. Well, not completely but that is for a more private time. Roderich is awkward and confused when it comes to love or romance. He normally has to be guided in the direction that someone wants him to go. Definitely not someone that understands layman's terms. Often trying to make up for his awkward reactions, he tries to lavish those he loves, making them feel important. He is completely faithful once tied down, even though he isn't much o a man for tom foolery when out of a relationship. You could say his lovers are lucky, because they have a faithful partner until they decide to leave.
