A new year signals new changes to Archadia! However, before these changes are put into effect there is the traditional New Year's Festival hosted in the town square. A surprise has been left outside the door of Archadia's residents during the night. Each package contained the same thing, yet with a personalized touch. An invitation, along with special instructions for the Masquerade Ball which will spark the beginning of the festivities.
Upon opening the instructions, a table of contents lie in the center of the page. There are two sections: Rules, Dress. The page after the table of contents host the rules, only four are printed.
Once the rules have been read, a final page hosts information on the type of attire required to attend the Ball.

- Be on your best behaviour, I doubt any of you will cause trouble during this time but in the event someone tries to do something stupid--be warned. Any who dare cause a disturbance during the festival will not have their actions taken lightly.
- Some of our shops have graciously offered to open vendors during this time. Be sure you take a look around and interact with the store owners, who knows, you might receive a reward if you do.
- Once the Masquerade is over, the festival will officially begin. All those attending the Ball must dress in the attire stated on the next page. Failure to do so will result in you being denied entry to the dance. You must also show your invitation, failure to do so (even if properly dressed) will result in you being denied entry.
- Do not mistake this time as you being able to neglect your duties to the city.

Knights, Queens, and Pawns, think of how to move the pieces across the board to snag the ultimate prize. Our Masquerade is very much like a game of chess, the gentleman shall wear white, and the women are to wear black. Your mask must represent one of the pieces, Knight, Rook, King, Queen, Pawn, and Bishop.
Failure to dress correctly will result in your entry being denied.
Also, please don't forget your invitation. It is your other access point to the dance.
After the dance, the true event can begin! This event, as previously stated, is a festival for the citizens of Archadia to come out and enjoy themselves! There's food stands, game stations, and entertainment every night! While most of the enjoyment only starts in the evening hours, it's the daylight activities most may find interest in. Have you guessed what this entertainment might be?
Well, all the mutants shall be featuring their powers in a carefully constructed arena. The crowd is able to watch from the outside as Archadia's pets show off what they can do. During this time, the Underground will be open so crowds can come and watch the mutants fight against each other as well! Should a human wish to purchase a mutant, they'll be able to do so during the festival; however, the prices will be much higher, so be careful when interacting with our store owners! If you visit them too much you may not have enough to buy your beloved pet!

First and foremost, be sure to place your posts in the correct section. An 'Event' section is being put up specifically for this! As of now, the only accessible portion of the event is the Ball, this will change as the event goes on so keep your eyes peeled on the C-BOX or the Announcements!
The event will run from January 22nd to March 3rd.
Once the time is up you are allowed to finish your threads, but you are not allowed to make new starters after the event has ended.
All mutant battles have been randomized. If you do not wish for your mutant to participate in the battle then please message an admin and we will work something else out. Regarding the mutants, all mutants will participate. Any mutant attending WoT will also be able to come out and show off their abilities, but they will not be able to participate in the matches. Contracted mutants will not be allowed for purchase until their contract with the previous owner ends. (This is to avoid a mutant belonging to multiple people at once!)
