Application. Twenty seven year old Russian Ground Forces combat veteran with extensive trauma, mutant hate, paranoia, survivors' guilt, and a mile-long list of issues. Loves nature, engineering, dance, reading, and children... to name a few.
FRIENDS
It's hard to become friends with Ivan. At the most, if you aren't a total pain, he'll regard you as an acquaintance. But he's weak for children and warm-hearted, kind people. Even if you are neither, bringing up engineering or medicine (or even the military, if you approach it in a safe enough manner) will grab his attention. And if you enjoy and can carry a conversation with Ivan about these things, it won't be long before he's the one seeking you out.
But you don't even need any of these qualities. A good heart and genuine nature that persists at attaining Ivan's acknowledgement, no matter how intelligent or accomplished its owner is, will surely succeed. But to become true friends with Ivan, you'll need to be earnest and to have a bit of patience. Once you've gotten under his skin, be proud: you've earnt a lifelong friendship with this loyal and sensitive man.
ENEMIES
Ivan doesn't really have "enemies", per se. It's easy to annoy him or to push his buttons, but he won't tolerate:
- rudeness/lack of respect towards him or others
- completely awful morals. Ivan himself has some questionable views on life, but if you seem overly cruel, ruthless, or off your rocker, that's a no.
- Mutants. At all. If he finds you're a mutant, he will have nothing to do with you.
He also dislikes loud talkers. Obnoxious people. Those who don't know their boundaries, and attempt to tactlessly sway his opinion without any respect for his viewpoints. If you've done all of these things in the hopes of provoking his anger, then congratulations. You now have a very pissed-off, very volatile Russian who may or may not have control over his temper after your sorry arse.
LOVERS
Relationships? Good luck, with Ivan in his current state.
... But he can dream. Though a romantic at heart, Ivan has had little more than a few flings during his time in the military, and his first love (who never reciprocated his feelings) died young. Ivan keeps himself mostly to admiration at a distance, nowadays. He still wants, one day, to settle down with a lovely wife and to start a family; or to move in and share a life with a man whom he truly loves, and who loves him. It's a happy ending that Ivan's envisioned and thought about hundreds of times.
Maybe, someday.
